[it's actually like 4 or 5 pictures, 4 of which are out of focus. The 5th is a bit clearer, showing two very pretty dragonflies, one blue, and one green]
do you like butterflies?
[not at all related to the dragonfly picture(s) but like. it's fine]
[ Dorian was a quick study with the technology, but he's not surprised it takes others longer to adjust. The blurry photos are charming, in their way. ]
I do. I've been watching them in the greenhouse, here.
I want to see the butterflies. Are you busy? We should look.
[Pretend itβs. A day the zoo appears idk idc]
Yes, that doesnβt sound good. But something did bring us to a different place, outside of both those things, I think. I suppose this is the strangest to happen to me too.
Truly? Then I will wait for you. I believe it's on an upper level. We can meet on the second floor and start there?
[She's very excited about this, actually, and will likely arrive before Dorian. She paces the floor, wringing her hands together and, just before Dorian actually walks up, she'll say out loud:]
You have but a moment before he arrives. [And then turns to face him as he does, indeed, arrive, and smiles] Oh, you did come!
[ There aren't terribly many places one can visit animals in captivity back home; in truth, Dorian isn't sure how he feels about it. But he's been devouring as much as he can on the history and technologies of this place, so he does at least understand what a zoo is in theory.
And after the past weeks, it seems a good idea to do something other than wallow in some quiet corner of the house. Spotting Helaena, Dorian offers her a warm smile and a bow with a flourish. ]
A pleasure to meet you in person. Shall we embark on our ocelot adventure?
[Helaena bobs a little curtsy in greeting, rubbing her hands together as she straightens. Despite that, she's smiling a little, looking eager for the trip]
Yes. I want to see them. And the butterflies. [mostly the butterflies, honestly, but the other things are neat too.]
It should be around here. A door that's different. Oh, fish. There's fish too, I think. [Pause] In the zoo. Not on the door. I'm not sure how this place can do such a thing, but there's much more to this house that meets the eye. It's... strange.

Shall I send you a picture next time I go?

Someone said there is a butterfly garden here. A zoo that appears. Rooms come and go from this house. It's very strange magic that goes on here.

It is strange. Maybe not the strangest magic I've seen, but it's in the running.

What's the strangest?
no subject
Hmm. Magic that rips apart the fabric of space and time, probably. Though I suppose whatever brought us here is adjacent to that.
