pace: varies, my schedule's a little erratic but i can usually boomerang a couple times a week. generally slower with longform action/prose.

tag style: strong preference for action brackets, but i can do prose - just might be a little slower.

backtagging: yes! i tend to prioritize whatever threads are flowing easiest, but if i've dropped something i'm often happy to pick it back up (or start a new/continuation thread with you).

flirting with this character: enthusiastic yes. dorian is gay but loves banter with anyone; just don’t expect follow-through with women.

fighting with this character: sure! he’s a mage of considerable talent and can hold his own. combat threads are not my fave on their own but i’m down as a precursor to other things.

using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: sure, but let's chat details, and he'll be Mad if he finds out about it.

canon point(s): finished my first run of veilguard but did not save minrathous so i got the dorian-lite version, sadly. still up for veilguard things or anything during or post inquisition/trespasser. the years between trespasser/veilguard when he’s growing out his hair and going grey dealing with tevinter politics are particularly interesting to me!

AUs are also cool, particularly canon-adjacent ones; generally less interested in modern AUs but there might be exceptions. not into coffee shop/college/SOL AUs.


shipping prefs: i haven’t written much bull/dorian over the years (i know i know!!) so i’m especially jonesing for all permutations of them, but most male da characters make this list.

no women or cole, please; inquisitors and rooks are kind of case-by-case for me for shipping, fine for gen.

cross-canon i’d love some bg3 action for him (gale & astarion are faves), probably open to other fantasy canons like witcher/critrole/etc.

he's also likely to stick to 25+ for romance, might do younger for casual hookups.

i love misery so i’d love to play some “inquisitor romanced dorian (or thread partner) but broke up with them” and dorian/thread partner treading through the fall-out from that. “what we could have been” is a fun exercise in yearning imo

hugely favor slowburn/ramping up tension over established relationship. if we vibe on a meme i’m likely down for psls!


smut/kinks: rough list here, but it's not exhaustive or rigid apart from the reds.

dorian is a really good candidate for d/s dynamics, primarily as a sub but can switch (especially in threesome+ scenarios and/or with less experienced partners). really love heavy bdsm for him where his limits are tested, especially impact play and bondage. RACK/SSC is fine but i also like one or both parties overshooting boundaries and working through the mess/aftercare of that.

daddy kink could heal him, give me some older men (emmrich!) for this! veilguard-era he could probably also be daddy.

i personally can’t read/write anything with needles*/bathroom stuff/emeto/bestiality. that aside, my actual kink list is pretty varied and adventurous. if you want to try something with him just lmk and we can talk about it!

content warnings: dorian's storyline deals very directly with homophobia + estrangement, specifically from his father, and the fantasy equivalent of (attempted/failed) conversion therapy. he's also the product of a mage-supremacist society that he's trying to reform from within, and depending on canon point his family owns slaves (as do most tevinter elite) and it takes getting chewed out by other members of the inquisition for him to realize that that's categorically Wrong. he's sometimes hypocritical, defends his homeland even when it's fucked up, but is also generally self-reflective, owns up to his mistakes, and strives to Do Better.

as a player i aim to approach difficult topics with care, but if either of the above are hard limits for you please let me know (and/or feel free to opt out of engaging him).
