SALTBURNT ❖ permissions

DORIAN PAVUS
Dragon Age: Inquisition
race/class: human mage
specialization: necromancer
gender: male
age: early thirties
height: six feet
sexuality: gay
art credit: stonelions @ tumblr
Impressions
❖ Visual: Tan skin with short dark hair and mustache, muscular build; mole under his right eye, wears eyeliner. Impeccably well-groomed with flashy and fashion-forward dress.

Saltburnt fashion: think Alan Cumming on Traitors + glam rock flare. General inspo/vibes board here.

❖ Aural: Voiced by Ramon Tikaram.

Intro
Romance scene
Banter

❖ Olfactory: Leather, if he's wearing it; cologne and grooming products are night-blooming florals, oud, fig, ginger, clove, pink peppercorn.
Out-of-Character
❖ Player: Lauren, EST, any pronouns. PM for plurk/discord, happy to share if we're in game together!

❖ Pace: Varies, my schedule's a little erratic but I can usually boomerang a couple times a week. Generally slower with longform action/prose.

❖ Tag style: Strong preference for action brackets, but I can do prose - just might be slower.

❖ Backtagging: Generally yes! If either of us have lost steam on something and plot has progressed significantly, I might ask us to handwave/wrap things up.

❖ Threadhopping: Fine in network threads for existing CR, but check other player's perms first. Probably case-by-case for fresh CR, feel free to reach out if you're unsure.

❖ Fourthwalling: Nope.

❖ Content warnings: Dorian's storyline deals directly with homophobia + estrangement, specifically from his father, and the fantasy equivalent of (planned/failed) conversion therapy. He's also the product of a mage-supremacist society that he's trying to reform from within, and depending on canon point his family owns elven slaves (as do most Tevinter elite) and it takes getting chewed out by other members of the Inquisition for him to realize that that's categorically wrong. He's sometimes hypocritical, defends his homeland even when it's fucked up, but is also generally self-reflective, owns up to his mistakes, and strives to do better.

As a player I aim to approach difficult topics with care, but if either of the above are hard limits for you please let me know (and/or feel free to opt out of engaging him, for any reason).

❖ Off-limits: I appreciate warnings for trypophobia, insect or parasite-related body horror, graphic medical procedures, graphic animal injury/death, CSA, and bathroom play, and won't want to thread those in detail myself.

This list may evolve and I'll update it as necessary/chat if something comes up while threading, but in general I have a relatively strong stomach for written horror/smut content.
In-Character
❖ Canon Point Mid-Inquisition, roughly post-Winter Palace. Inquisitor Lavellan sided with the mages.

❖ Flirting Enthusiastic yes. Dorian is gay but loves banter with anyone; just don’t expect follow-through with women.

❖ Mind-reading Sure, but let's chat details, and he'll be Mad if he finds out about it.

❖ Fighting Sure! He’s a mage of considerable talent and can hold his own. Flashy sparring is fun, antagonistic fights are also probably fine. Non-permanent injury also fine, let's discuss anything major like mutilation.

❖ Death Open to this for plot things, but let's definitely discuss details.

❖ Shipping Opting to play him polyamorish in Saltburnt. Dorian's dealt with homophobia from his family and society all his life, and is used to relationships between men being physical and nothing more. He expects that most of his dalliances will just be hookups, and likes to tease and play hard to get. Flirtation is definitely a form of armor, for him.

Actual intimacy (and real courtship) surprises Dorian, and he's initially afraid of wanting more and getting hurt, but when committed/secure he's a deeply romantic and devoted partner. Probably 25+ for romance, younger for more casual relationships, but I'm open to seeing where things go outside that benchmark.

When an Inquisitor is actively pursuing a relationship with another party member, Dorian notes that he doesn't want "complications" and asks them to figure out what they want. He's not someone who will knowingly cheat / get involved in an affair, and will break things off if a partner is being dishonest with him about their own attachments. Will likely be chill with ethical nonmonogamy, so long as everyone involved is on the same page.

As a player I love relational tension and am very open to putting Dorian in situations that will make him uncomfortable/test his morals, but let's definitely talk OOCly about any serious relational tension/jealousy that involves a third(/fourth/etc) character/player and make sure everyone's down.

❖ Smut/Kinks Non-exhaustive list here. Most maybes are situational yeses.

Dorian is a really good candidate for D/s dynamics, primarily as a sub but can switch (especially in threesome+ scenarios and/or with less experienced partners). Really love heavy BDSM for him where his limits are tested, especially impact/pain play and bondage. Dorian is canonically a shibari bottom and I'd love to do rope scenes with him as rigger OR bottom. RACK/SSC is fine, but I also like one or both parties overshooting boundaries and working through the mess/aftercare of that.

Daddy kink could heal him, give me some older men for this! Also love trope-y stuff like intimate bathing, body heat, trapped together, etc etc.

Dorian's greatest weakness is temptation, so please tempt him with things that are morally questionable or "forbidden"/taboo.

Would love to play some threesomes(/moresomes, depending on how realistically manageable 4+ is) with him so get at me if you're interested in that!
